Dear Vegan 101 Members,
On Saturday, October 16, DallasVegan.com will present the inaugural Texas State Veggie Fair
. While this is not an official Vegan 101 Meet-Up event, we really hope to see y'all there!
The Texas State Veggie Fair combines cruelty-free vegan food options like veggie corny dogs with cutting-edge musical performances. This first-ever event features a vegan fried food contest with judges who are prominent in the Dallas food scene, as well as an eclectic mix of acoustic, rock, and electronic entertainment from veg-friendly musicians. Local vegan food heavy-hitters such as Spiral Diner, Tough Cookie Bakery, and the soon to be opening V-Spot Veggie Caf? will dish out vegan corn dogs, Frito pie, and other vegan treats. In addition, organizations dedicated to education and awareness of animal rights and other vegetarian/vegan issues will attend, and children can enjoy fun carnival games and family-friendly performances.
The Texas State Veggie Fair will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at The Phoenix Project, a non-profit association that aims to serve Dallas? progressive art and music scene. The Phoenix Project is located at 406 S. Haskell Ave in Dallas.
We look forward to seeing you at this exciting celebration of the thriving vegan scene in Dallas!
