At the last Dallas Vegan drinks I talked to some people about this article on meat and pollution. I'm posting here so anyone interested can read it. It covers an analysis in the Journal of Environmental Science and Technology that reviewed the data and came to the conclusion:

"Shifting less than one day per week's worth of calories from red meat and dairy products to chicken, fish, eggs, or a vegetable-based diet achieves more GHG reduction than buying all locally sourced food."

Enjoy!
