Alibi is a nifty looking new bar in Culver City. The Kogi People have taken over the Kitchen and are serving up Vegan Tacos / Lotus Root Chips / etc. Chef Roy may even do a Vegan Special for the day for us~~~ They have a really good selection of beer and even some Organic. Vegan drinks is growing and growing and Alibi is a fun hip bar that has the word 'vegan' on their menu. Our crowds always mix and mingle flawlessly. Singles have turned to doubles, groups of friends expand, business connections are made, and plenty of VEGAN VENTING takes place! My favorite part of Vegan Drinks (in addition to meeting so many cool people) is hearing each persons personal vegan finds around town or on the net.

Here is the menu; http://www.alibirooml... Vegan Sesame Leaf Tacos / Lotus Root Chips. I emailed Chef Roy to see what else he could whip up and he's said he could do a Vegan Special for the day, too. I'll also give the Green Truck people a heads up so we can try the Mother Trucker Vegan Burger. Also, if we get a large enough crowd its possible we might be able to convince the Frankenstand Vegan Hot Dog Truck to come and then we'll be in Vegan Food Cart Nirvana!

PS. If anyone who comes to this meetup posts on Vegan-LA.com I am good for a free beer to the first 5 posters who show up.

Note: Kogi Tofu Taco's Corn Tortilla contains Lard.

    Sorry this meetup was such chaos! I had no idea we'd get fubared by a random birthday party! Then I met so many cool people I forgot I needed to be working the door!!! Next time we'll figure out some name tags or pins, some sort of central point! Still was a really fun event and I can't believe all the cool people who showed up! The sesame leaf tacos were actually really fantastic after 3 beers, lol!

    Anyone from 'vegan drinks' meet up on Couchsurfing?? I am travelling round Cali and would like to go to this meet up and stay with vegan couchsurfing host in LA if possible!

    Terry, for sure there will be people hanging out until the place closes I imagine if its anything like the past vegan drinks.

    I was hoping that the event would be starting at 8 as was originally planned rather than 6, as I am scheduled to attend a vegan dinner event earlier in the evening. Would it still be okay to arrive a bit after 8 (e.g. will many folks likely still be around)?

      “ Vegan tacos were yummy. Being that it was so crowded there, and this was only our second time, and we didn't know many faces, we had trouble determining who was with the vegan group. We spent the first hour of our time not knowing where everybody was. I say this knowing it's difficult, but it would be great if the venues chosen had separate spaces for us to gather. ”
