Some people might get confused and think your "Sexy Singles Soiree" is taking place at Sprouted Garden Cafe, which it's not.

Great company as always. The tempeh with spinach was delicious. I love how the owner grows vegetables for the dishes on premises.

Oh I didnt know that! I was late so zoomed in without really looking around up front, will do so next time, thanks, Ken! Cool!

Thanks, Jeff, that was an entree that I'd put on my list as sounding good, so I will try it. I'm sure we all would love to see this place succeed, so let's gently share our feedback w/the owner when we're there, so he can strive to please his customers. With 2 other vegan restaurants within a block in each direction, I can understand that he wants to offer something different, but it also has to be something that keeps people coming back & recommending it.

Oh, & yeah, I feel there should be name tags at ALL events...seems to make it feel friendlier overall. Plus we may recognize a FB friends NAMe but not their face, since so many people use other things in their profile pic plus we see their names/comments more than their faces...

Sounds like QuarryGirl needs to start wearing her Tofu Robot mask when she hosts an event.

Last night was fun! Nice to see some familiar faces. I do kinda wish restaurants would stop calling a dish "pizza" if it doesn't have at least some sort of cheese substitute on it. Throwing veggie slices on a hard thin crust and drizzling it with some trace of sauce I can see but not taste does not constitute a "pizza." Come on people, if they can perfect vegan "chicken," why can't I find a vegan pizza that tastes like actual pizza?

Pizza was originally just any leftovers baked on flattened dough to feed the homeless in Italy. The idea that it needs sauce and cheese is an American idea. ;)

Oh I forgot about the name tags! Yeah, I liked those too! I support name tags in the future. But it was nice to see people I already knew!

The food and the environment was great and the people were nice but I kind of feel bad for people who showed up by themselves. I think there should be someone who can introduce them so it would be easier than trying to find... Remember we are dealing with different kind of personalities and that is what make us unique.

I like the idea of name tags.

Not what I expected. Disappointed. Host/ organizer didn't even show up. As a newcomer to the event , I felt like an outsider. I thought I was going to a meaningful vegan event, but turned out to be just a restaurant promotion. That wasn't nice.

Mujin. You might want to put a picture of yourself as your photo so people can find you.

You know what? I was expecting it to be a bit awkward and weird as I can be a painfully shy wallflower in large social gatherings, but when I walked in, I told the hostess that I was there for the Vegan Drinks meetup and she sat me at a large table with a couple other people already there and then more people joined us later. We just all introduced ourselves and everyone was very friendly. I'd never been to a Vegan Drinks meetup before, so I was happy that it was so easy. That was my experience anyway. Guess I got lucky. :-)

my first meet up, too. lots of fun, laid back tasty beer! Is it just me or are vegans nicer and more attractive. perhaps I was at a good table.
