Should we do a bake sale for the outreach fund in mid-September?

Subject: [VeganMontclair] Vegan Outreach
Last weekend's Gene Baur event was such a huge success that I've decided to ask more speakers come to Montclair. Wouldn't it be nice if we created a little vegan oasis in the suburbs and Montclair became a regular stop for people on their lecture tours? I've already started asking people to come visit us, and I have some really great things in the works. And for those of you who missed Gene's talk, he liked Montclair so much that he will be back!
Events like these aren't cheap though, so I'm going to start a fund to pay for them. (Gene Baur's event cost about $750.) I'm going to have a collection jar at all upcoming events to collect money to pay for lecturers and event spaces. You can give as little or as much as you want, and it's not at all mandatory. I'm also going to put all of the profits from my Cafe Press store towards the outreach fund. I have lots of Montclair Vegans and VeggieGirl merchandise for sale: http://www.cafepress.com/veggiegirlshop
It's important to keep events like these free and open to the public so that we can spread the word to a wider audience. Many people who attended Saturday's lecture weren't vegan, but were inspired by Gene's message. The ripple effect is in motion!
