My husband and I are long-time vegans. We moved to Oahu in November 0f 2010 and love it here.
How did you hear about the Oahu Vegan Meetup?
I searched for vegan groups when I moved here.
How veg are you? Vegan? Vegetarian? Flexitarian? Not at all?
Vegan.
How veg do you want to be and why?
I'd like to be a healthier, more raw vegan.
What do you want out of this group?
I'd like to make new vegan friends.
What kind of events would you like to attend? Where? When?
When I think of them, I schedule them.

Hi, Maura. A friend and i hang out in Waikiki with a banner that says "Live Vegan". We wear pro-vegan shirts and sometimes sing pro-vegan songs.

I know where that is! I lived in Ocean Grove, on the shore right by Asbury Park. I love Kailua. I am very happy to be home!

Think the OWS movement is very important. I also know how difficult it is to organize people, get meeting attendance and activism. I'd like to meet you to chat and see what is going on. My field is public health, mainly prevention of child abuse and early child development. i am also co-chair of Progressive Democrats of Hawaii. Would you be available for coffee sometime?

Been checking out Pages and Cooking Resources,.. Thank you! I've been getting some really good information and recipes, not just run of the mill that I would get on an internet search. Really love the PETA page and VeganChef recipes. Food rules very understandable and hysterical. Look forward to getting to an outing soon,.. -
