Mercy For Animals Marching at Cleveland Pride

Mercy For Animals will be marching at the Pride parade again this year! Come join us and spread the message: no one is free when others are oppressed. You'll need a MFA logo shirt to march with us, which we'll be selling for $5 if you don't already have one. Check the link for more information. https://www.facebook.com/events/625538517458530/

MEETING DETAILS

Location:
We will be meeting to march at the corner of West 3rd street & Frankfort Avenue at 11:00 am. The parade begins at 12:00 pm and we need to be in our places at 11:30 am. Please arrive early so we can get everyone sporting one of our logo tees. ($5 per shirt.)

Parking:
Since Cleveland Pride takes place on a Saturday, street (meter) parking is free. Area parking lots will surely be anticipating crowds and charging special event pricing. To assure you get a spot, as well as join us on time, please consider adding some time to your trip.

Look Out For...
Josh Sias and I will be waiting for MFA marchers on the corner of West 3rd st. & Frankfort ave. We will be adorned in MFA logo tees and messenger bags. If you have a logo tee already please wear it to the event, as this will save us time and assist us in finding each other. If you should need to reach us for anything, such as to find us Saturday morning, we can be reached at[masked]-5408.

Bring Along:
Please bring along any pride parade accessories you may have, rainbow flags, umbrellas, and horns are always a great and festive addition to our compassionate group. It may be a good idea to bring snacks and beverages, as the festivals food isn't known to be very veg friendly. Just keep in mind that this is a family event and cops will be checking bags as visitors enter the festival grounds.

Don't forget to bring your friends and family as well. 8)

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
In addition to marching in this years Cleveland Pride Parade, Mercy For Animals will also be tabling and having our Pay Per View advocacy station set up at this year's Pride Festival. If you'd like to volunteer with us throughout the day, any time from the close of the parade to 7:00 pm, please message me with the time(s) you are able to help out.

Thank you all for joining us this year. I'm looking to marching for these lovely causes beside each of you Saturday.

Thanks everyone who came to the parade and help at the table. The weather was surprisingly nice throughout the day. We managed to get nearly 300 people to view Farm to Fridge, using most of a box of kleenex in the process. Also, we distributed over 4000 pieces of literature. We couldn't have done it without all the volunteers, so thanks to you all! Hope to see you next time :)

I will not be attending if the storm comes that they are predicting. At this time I am under the weather and I don't want to get any worse. Thanks

Due to logistical concerns, we will not be able to transfer water along the parade route. As this is the case I highly recommend marchers to bring a bottle of water or some other refreshing beverage along with them. To reiterate t-shirt concerns. If you have contacted me with your size, I have a shirt waiting for you. If not, I have a limited amount of shirts in various sizes avaible to distribute tomorrow before we march. Please remember to bring the recommended donation of $5 with you. All shirts remaining after the parade will be for sale during the festival at our regular price for shirts -$20 to $25. All shirts are sweatshop free, and american made. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me.
