A message from Gloria Bemer: Sharing vegan food with friends and family is a fun experience, but can sometimes be stressful when mixed with traditional American dinners. It can be difficult for people who are new to plant-based eating to explain their convictions to skeptics, and families may feel pressured when they have to adjust their annual dinner. Or maybe you've been trying to eat less meat and are looking for good ideas for alternative meals. Come to the next meeting of the West Shore Vegetarian Group, at West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church, 20401 Hilliard Blvd., on Tuesday, November 12, at 7:00 pm for a vegan Thanksgiving potluck. Each person who attends is asked to bring your favorite meatless and diary free Thanksgiving dish to feed 6 to 8 people. Please send an email to [masked] if you will be attending. We will share our experiences and discuss ways to make the holidays less stressful. Everyone is asked to bring their own dishes, eating utensils as well as serving utensils.
