Premiere of "Speciesism: The Movie"

Join us for the Cleveland Premiere of the new documentary "Speciesism: The Movie", hosted by our lovely and dedicated Gia. This will also serve as a fundraiser for her free publication, Healthy and Humane Observer (http://www.healthyandhumaneobserver.com/). There will be great raffle prizes as well! Admission is $12 per person to cover film and venue fees and to, hopefully, raise funds for the HHO! Thank you.

Tickets are available for purchase online! No waiting in line! Here is the link:
http://www.clevelandcinemas.com/moviedetails.asp?id=4982 To purchase: first click on show time - 7:00 at the bottom of the page, then click on drop down date menu for, select Jan 9 and then just click on the film. The theater will close sales at 78 seats sold - therefore, if possible, purchase online and we will be able to monitor so that nobody is turned away.

If time permits, and anyone has questions, we will have knowledgeable people on hand for a Q and A after the film and drawings.

I am sorry I missed this... I was out with the flu. I will probably go this weekend sometime. Let me now if someone wants to see it again!

Damon, so sorry that the flu had to hit you at this time! The Speciesim: The Movie was a Premier showing only that Gia had brought in on her own (and needed to sell 80 advanced ticket sales on-line in order to make it work), and it was not a film that Cedar Lee had featured and had advertised for themselves. It is was also a fund raiser for Gia's publication, The Healthy and Humane Observer, to help keep the newspaper in it's printed version. So for now, it's now being shown again.

This movie was quite thought provoking and done in a way everyone could follow along. I hope it is put out on DVD so it can be put in libraries and on Netflix, as those seem to be two areas where everyone can watch something like this. It makes it easy to suggest it to nonvegan friends, as well. I was a very lucky winner of some wonderful prizes at this event! Thank you Gia and all your helpers for making this event possible!

This movie/documentary had almost everything possible in a movie that all of us vegans had ever hoped to see, that would spread the message to all of our non-vegan friends and family members who just have not 'woke' up yet! I was very impressed with Mark Devries, novel movie creation and directing! Gia did an excellent job with organizing and announcing her event and bringing in fabulous door prizes and raffles for her fund raiser for the Healthy and Humane Observer. Congratulations Gia and her family member and friends who made it possible. www.speciesimthemovie.com

Any one and everyone is more than welcome to sit with me! We can always ask the waiter/waitress to add more to the table! The more the merrier! It will be great to have you join us, Brenda. So far there's only 3 of us at a table for 4! Maybe we can increase it to more by Thursday!

Seven is a lucky number! Excellent! When I called earlier to tell them six, they seemed very unconcerned that I increased the number. My guess is that 5pm is NOT their busy time and there is lot of seating available!

Just wondering if anyone is planning to meet up for dinner beforehand. I'm thinking Lemon Grass Thai next door.

I have asked to join Sandie at her table...maybe you can join us! :)

A few of us ARE definitely planning on meeting at the Lemon Grass for an 'unofficial' meetup !!!! I plan on being there for 5pm (they open for dinner at 5pm). That will give us at least an hour to talk and eat. We all should be in the theater by 6pm for the raffles. I did buy my ticket on line. It was $12 with a $1 surcharge. That's okay, I'd rather have the receipt in hand when I get there. Call the Lemon Grass at[masked] to RSVP a table for your group.
    See you there!
