MELT, an evening of vegan comfort food and always good conversation

We are meeting up at MELT in Lakewood, at 7:30 pm.

PLEASE refrain from using heavy fragrances. They aggravate asthma and can trigger migraines.  Let's save our noses for the wonderful food aromas at our meetups.

We always have a great time at Melt. If you haven't yet been, their specialty is comfort food served in a fun atmosphere. They offer vegan versions of many of their sandwiches.

MELT has recently increased the number of vegan sandwiches on their menu, including the famous pirogi sandwich so yay for us!

Click here for melt web site MELT LINK and have a look at the monthly specials. There is often a vegan version of that as well.

Melt has switched to Daiya vegan cheese so it melts all gooey and yummy.

Getting a reservation at Melt is impossible because they don't do reservations, so it's very nice of them to understand that we all want to sit together and not have to stand around for an hour or two waiting for a table, which is the norm there. So they have graciously granted us a 7:30 pm reservation and they are usually pretty good about seating us fairly close to on time.

Due to the seating capacity of the place, they can only guarantee 18 seats together. However, the owner and manager have agreed to do their best to seat more if room is available. So if you miss the reservation cut-off, come on down anyway.

The previous Melt meetups have been really good times. Hope to see you there. You are a stranger but once. Come and make some new friends. PHONE is [masked]

If you bring a non-veg guest, spouse, etc, please have them refrain from ordering meat. Not everyone wants to see or smell it and, after all, it is a veg meetup.

And, as ever, please feel free to suggest other meetup venues and activities. Just about any reason to get together with like-minded folks for vegan food and hanging out will do. We all seem to enjoy each others' company, so more is better! Anyone can now suggest a meetup on the site, and that feature is easy to navigate, so have at it.

If you'd like to book meetups yourself, contact Sandi Sajner about becoming an assistant organizer.

That's it, see you at Melt West    Peace, Don

My battery light came on while driving on the highway. I had my car towed to my mechanic. I hope you all had a great time, and I'll see you next time!
