Treehuggers in Berea

Treehuggers told me (Doug Lefelhocz) that basically the max we can have at one table is 12 people, but they do have more room in the restaurant for more people, we just won't all be able to sit together if we have more than 12.  So, I've decided to limit this meetup to 16 people.  You can find Treehugers website here.  Hope to see you there!

Please do not use heavy perfumes, fragrances, after shave, or cologne when attending. Let's save our sense of smell for the food at the restaurant.

If you do bring a friend or companion, please ask that they refrain from ordering meat. After all, this is a veg*n meetup.

Nice meetup but where was everybody? Thank you to Louis and Dave for showing up - otherwise I would have just been the crazy lady at the huge table for 13, talking to myself!

be sure to ask questions about the menu options, not all servers seem to be as knowledgable as others.. one of the servers recently warned me that the oat burger now contains cheese, though it used to be vegan.. so make sure you ask about that if you plan to order the oat burger, it's still listed under vegan burgers on the menu

So I was just there today on my lunch break and got the details from Sharon. She confirmed the oat burger DOES now have cheese IN the patty mix. They were getting a lot of complaints about the oat burger and the chef decided to try playing with the recipe. The patties are pre-made, so they can't just make a patty with rice cheese in it, BUT, I'm thinking if enough vegans complain, they may start making patties with rice cheese too. After all, customer complaints is what brought this change on anyway.

so unfortunate, I wonder what the complaints were, and why would cheese be a fix for it? I would assume vegans were one of the main groups ordering the burger.. why they would add cheese to a burger specifically labeled on their menu as "vegan" is beyond me

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I can no longer make it. Just tell Treehugger's that you're under the Meetup or Doug party. and they should take care of you!

Thinking more on this, the weekend of the 23rd (or 22nd) might work out better, since we already have a bunch of meetups around the 9th. I don't know my work schedule yet though, so I don't know what will work for me.

I can't make it on the 9th, but could on the 10th or either of the last 2 weekends in March. But feel free to schedule what works for others!

I haven't called or anything at this point. I just put up the date to see how that works for people:

How does Saturday March 9th at 1:00 P. M. sound?

I just want to caution everyone that there was a problem the last time the group went in August. A married couple and two ladies from Akron both wanted to use discount vouchers and this upset the manager. He made the girls move to a separate table as "only one Groupon per table". Finally when I pointed out to him that one voucher was from Living Social and one from Groupon, he permitted the girls to return to our group. Most of the group was pretty disgruntled by this as the four had never met previously and were sitting at opposite ends of several tables that had been placed together. Long story short, only one Groupon per table so be advised! Otherwise I love their food and eat there often.

i just went there today! imo, the service was a little mediocre because it was busy. but the first time i was there, it was great and almost had the place to ourselves. anyway, they have a great menu and i would love to go again with some friends!

Love the Treehuggers Cafe. They are always willing to adjust the menu choices for individual requests and have vegan options every day.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
