Chinese New Year Celebration Vegan Buffet feast

Hey, it's Chinese New Year again and you are invited to share the event with your rural cousins of the Vegetarian Society of Northern Ohio all the way out in Norwalk. I know it's a drive, but this is our most well-attended event of the year, sometimes 45 - 60+ folks, and it will be the most fun you can have and still be in Norwalk. Those who have driven out in the past have reported it being a great time!

Please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, aftershave, etc. It aggravates asthma and can trigger migraines. let's save our sense of smell for the wonderful food aromas at this feast.

[color=red][/ The buffet is $9.95 for adults and I think $6.95 for kids and includes a full course meal, soup, entrees, dessert and tea. The house in the past has thrown in the first magnum of plum wine as well. Everything will be prepared without sugar or MSG. Some of the dishes will be traditional Chinese New Year Celebration vegetarian things not found in most Chinese restaurants in this country.color]

Please RSVP if you can. It helps our hosts plan properly, but it's not mandatory; it's a restaurant and they always prepare plenty. The feast will be vegan and include brown rice. There will be many noodle dishes, lots of tofu prepared in interesting ways and some strange & wonderful vegetable dishes you may not have had before. the arrival time is any time before 7:00, but that's for hanging, socializing, and maybe having a drink if you like. The food will likely be planned for 7:15 and will be up and available through 9 or later,so don't worry if you can't get there right at 7:00 it's a buffett! Email or call with questions or for directions ([masked] ). gung hay fat choy and stuff. Peace.

Fantastic array of delicious food. What was most notable was the numerous children that were participating in this event.

As I a West Sider, I would be interested in carpooling with East or West Siders. Just let me know.

I would love to come but live on the East Side. Do you know how far the restaurant is from Chardon, Oh?

I don't know exactly in years past we have had a number of far east siders attend, though I know it's about an hour from downtown Cleveland, so maybe an hour and 15 or 20 minutes? Everyone who has driven to attend has said it was well worth the drive! I hope you make it.

As I reside on the West Side, I am interested in knowing whether anyone would like to carpool. Let me know.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
