I am on a life quest to be better to myself and my surroundings. I want to eat foods that are better for me. I want to stop mentally judging myself. I want to leave a smaller waist footprint. I want to be an advocate for those who can't speak.
My go to comfort food is a homemade stuffed bean burrito. I am always looking for ways to transform non-vegan food into vegan. My best revision yet was french toast.
I would say 50 vegan/50 vegetarian. I have been vegetarian on and off for the past 15-20 years now. I finally feel comfortable with being more vegan than vegetarian. I find it easy being vegan at home, but hard for going out and at family events.
My transition is going well. I just need to be more direct and ask specific questions when I go out to eat. Found out the hard way when I recently went to Happy Dog and they gave me a real hotdog by mistake. I would love to recipe share with members that have been vegan for a long time. I like being versatile in my food choices and while I really like ethnic foods like Indian or Chinese, I do not like to eat them all the time.
I am always on the optimistic side, adore fluffy animals and dream in color.
