Megan gave a Great Presentation, she sure does know Las Vegas and surrounding areas, she showed us Photos of places that I had taken for granted. Now when I visit those places I will have a different pair of eyed and look for those spots that make this city what it is, a Great piece of Art.

It is nice when a speaker can add some humor to the presentation, such as Megan did. On another note I thought that all of the sites to be discussed were going to be in Vegas, or immediately surrounding area. Of course with my home being situated in Da Boonies I see areas not usually seen by the City folk. My little valley is also home to the designer of the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, as well as the Clark County fairgrounds, Pomegranate festival, an the Lost City museum. A short run up the 93 will put you through Alamo, Caliente, and eventually Pioche, all of which would be good for inspiration. I do agree with Megan when she said that we are on the leading edge of the cultural buildup in the Vegas Valley. Yes Vegas is 105 years old now, but the population has only recently grown large enough to support a cultural center. Hopefully the seeds that we are planting now will eventually grow, so that Las Vegas will no longer be thought of as a "pretend city" which I have heard it called.

I thoroughly enjoyed Megan's presentation at the Vegas Artist Guild meeting last night. I discovered several hidden gems (places to take photos around LV) that I wasn't aware of. She was a delightful speaker.

Megan gave a great presentation -- it was very informative, and I'm sure anyone could get inspiration from all the resources she shared with us. She was very funny also -- it was a great evening.
