Seems because of our economy that not too many people are moving to Las Vegas lately. But there are a few of you. It used to be that people would move here for a second chance. That may still be the case. Some move here for the excitement of the Strip and the Shows. Others are escaping the rising costs of living in California or other expensive metro areas. Whatever your reason for moving here, we want to help you get adjusted and settled in and find friends and activities that make this a great place to live. If you're a local, we need you to show us the ropes and help us meet other cool people. We are hoping to have a very diverse group with lots of different backgrounds and stories. We want to meet you and make new friends.
Hidden in this glittering neon city is a great community, filled with parks, libraries, community centers and community events. There is also great local night life and clubs. In addition we get all the great entertainment, cultural exhibits, natural exhibits that the glowing, pulsing strip has to offer. The new Smith Center of the Performing Arts is a cultural center that rivals many of the cities we came from and I encourage you to check it out.
In addition to regular Meetup events, make sure you check out our calendar for things that are happening in Las Vegas and the surrounding areas. You will find a wide variety of activities to do on the calendar for families, singles, couples and occasional something that includes pets.
The organizers of this group want to give everyone a place to go to find something new and unique to do, so if you know about something happening and it isn’t on our calendar, e-mail us so we can add it!
Thanks for joining us!
