Vegas Veg is a nonprofit group of vegans, vegetarians, and veg-friendly people in Las Vegas. Vegas Veg is staffed entirely by volunteers. Vegas Veg is run by vegans and vegetarians who have a passion for making a difference for animals, the planet, and people.

Mission Statement: Vegas Veg focuses on ending human dependence on animals by promoting a compassionate, healthy plant-based lifestyle through grassroots educational activities.

ANYONE is welcome to join us. We simply ask that you respect animals, the environment, and human healthy by choosing vegan options in our presense.

Vegas Veg Accomplishments:

• Held over 500 “meetups," helping vegans make vegan friends as well as exposing nonveg people and newbie vegans to local vegetarian and vegan fare. Monthly meetups include Vegas Vegan Drinks and our donut meetup.
• Handed out over 25,000 vegan educational pamphlets!
• Put up 9 billboards in 2010 that were viewed over 10 million times! Put up 8 billboards in 2011, twice.
• Raised over $400 for victims of the 2010 Haiti earthquake with a vegan bake sale.
• Raised $500 with a vegan bake sale for Japan after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
• Shown Earthlings and other veg-themed films. Inspired nonvegans to go vegan and vegans to get active. And we’ve helped promote vegan-themed films when other groups show them.
• Compiled an online list of Vegas restaurants that are vegan-friendly.
• Promoted and participated in animal rights protests against puppymills, wild mustang round-ups, circus animal entertainment, and more.
• Promoted vegetarian and vegan campaigns by other organizations, for example COK's Subway sandwich campaign.
• Offered FREE vegan starter kits to UNLV students through the student newspaper classified ads.
