Hello Sweet Things! Let's make sweet things.

Here are the recipes that we used for Family Fur and Fun...


Chocolate Chip Cookies
Yields 20 cookies

1 ½ cup white flour
1 ½ tsp. egg replacer powder
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
½ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar (or ½ cup sugar plus 1 ½ tsp. molasses)
½ cup vegan margarine
2 Tbs. water
1 tsp. vanilla extract
6 oz. vegan semisweet chocolate chips (about half a standard bag)

Preheat oven to 350F
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, egg replacer, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
2. Cream together the sugar, brown sugar, margarine, water, and vanilla
3. Stir together the sugar mixture and the flour mixture. You may need to use an electric mixer or food processor
4. Add chocolate chips.
5. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Do not flatten.
6. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

Peanut Butter Cookies
Yields 24 cookies

1 ¾ cup white flour
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
¾ cup pure maple syrup
¼ cup vegan sugar
¼ cup vegan margarine
¾ cup peanut butter
1 Tbs. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350F
1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt
2. In a separate bowl, cream together the maple syrup, sugar, margarine, peanut butter, and vanilla
3. Stir together sugar mixture and flour mixture
4. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a lightly oiled cookie sheet. Flatten with the tines of a fork
5. Bake for 14 minutes or until done.

Pumpkin Cookies
Yields 48 cookies

2 cups flour
1 cup vegan sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. salt
1 cup pure canned pumpkin
½ cup extra light olive oil or canola oil

Preheat oven to 375F
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
2. Add pumpkin and oil.
3. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a lightly oiled cookie sheet.
5. Bake for 10 minutes or until done.
