 Announcing the Vegas Veg Book Club!!! At the July donuts meetup I brought up the idea of starting a book club. Everyone seemed to like the idea... so we're going to give it a try. We will follow along with the VegNews Book Club. VegNews (a vegan magazine) has a blog set up for the book club where they will post the reading assignments and the discussion questions. The website is: vegnewsbookclub.blogspot.com  We will discuss whichever book they read and discussed the month before. So... in August, we will discuss the book they read and discussed in July. In September, we will discuss the book they discussed in August. And so on... First, we will discuss Mad Cowboy by Howard Lyman. We will talk about this book at the August donut meetup. As a reminder, we meet for donuts every 2nd Sunday of the month at Ronald's Donuts on Spring Mountain. As usual, we will also continue to bring the Vegas Veg Library, which is a box of books and DVDs that you can "check out" on the honor system. |
