Vegan education is one of the most powerful, easiest, and cost-effective activities that anyone can do to prevent animal suffering, prevent environmental damage, and improve human health.

Where Do We Get The Leaflets?
Because Vegas Veg has no operating budget, we generally do not buy leaflets or pay for printing. But we almost always have plenty to go around. That's because Vegas Veg obtains leaflets through grants or donations. Larger animal advocacy groups have offered to help Vegas Veg by providing free literature or by reimbursing us for the costs of our outreach programs. If you volunteer to help with a Vegas Veg leafleting or tabling event, you needn't bring any leaflets. We just need your enthusiasm, that's all!

However, if you'd like to leaflet on your own. Here are some places where you can obtain veg educational leaflets:

Leafleting Tips
* Smile, smile, smile
* If someone says "No, thanks" just say "OK" and move on to the next person
* Pick up any dropped leaflets you see & recycle them
* Leaflet during the busiest times so you can reach the most people
* Stay on the sidewalks and don't block walkways
* Be polite and energetic
* Stay in the designated "free speech" zone if there is one

Why Keep Track?
We tally our leafleting records so:
a) we don't over-saturate or duplicate our efforts and also
b) we can look back and recognize how much progress we've made.

(Remember, the Strip and Fremont St. can't be over-saturated since they're tourist locations. We could leaflet there every single day and reach new people each time. However, the average college student is more likely to go vegan or vegetarian than the average tourist. Use your judgment and preferences and leaflet when and where you want.)
