Café Gratitude is a restaurant which originated in California, and a group of local people pulled together and created one opening here in Kansas City in May of 2012. The all vegan restaurant uses local and organic foods, they also serve a blend of health conscious raw and cooked dishes.
They take a somewhat alternative approach which will become apparent when you read their menu. They serve a variety of Starters, Salads, Main Dishes, Sandwiches, Breakfast/Brunch Items, Teas, Coffee, Fresh Juices and Smoothies, and desserts (such as rich coconut cream based pies!), with items like...

Thanks to Michael for providing the information about Cafe Gratitude's policy about the 'group check' thing, and for facilitating a satisfactory outcome for us. I enjoyed myself on Saturday and hope to be able to chat again with many more of you the next time around!

By the way, for those of you who attended, Cafe Gratitude recently changed their policy to only allow a group check to be split between four people. Obviously complicated to impossible with 15-20 or more people. We've talked to them about it and they are willing to work with us in the future on it. In the mean time something to be aware of if you go back with more than four people or four couples / families. Thanks everyone for joining us, it was fun. :)

I did not get confirmation about thevlunch, but i want to come. Michael, did you confirm my attendance?

Welcome everyone. We do a variety of veg*n friendly restaurants, generally more local and especially vegan / vegetarian places. Plus the occasional potluck. We have a place tentatively selected, but will be confirming it shortly.

i'm new today, so i'm not sure what type of places you select for the meetups but i have been hearing good things about, and wanting to try nica's 320 down by the crossroads. if you are veggie and not vegan, the drop at martini corner has some great bruschetta and a good olive tray....and i'm always up for anything indian! i'm excited to meet some other vegetarians!

Greetings! I'm new here. I am very happy to find some vegetarians!! All my friends are not, but they put up with me. You know how it goes...they do not understand, no matter what.
Looking forward to meet New Friends. Hugs to All!
