Sunday Supper Club (at Tea Time) All you can eat.

  • Bhel-Poori House (INDIAN VEG)

Our lovely Dona will be hosting her first meetup and I hope you can join us for the " all you can eat yum fest" that is the Bhel Poori House (aka Indian Veg) for a late afternoon / early evening nibbles this sunday. I hate eating alone so hopefully some of you great folks will join me in wrecking my "post christmas diet"  Again!!!  ;-)

For those who have not been before and Like Indian food, I can not recommend this place highly enough. Everything is vegetarian and many things vegan (if we have lots of vegans decide to go I will talk to the guys there and see if we can't get a few more options put on).
It is self service buffet and you just keep going back as often as you want and all for about £6 (drinks extra) . They only take cash and if I may recommend a small gratuity be added.

After that a short stroll across the road and maybe a little liquid winter warmer for those with a little more time on their hands.

A perfect informal event for newcomers to meet some of the regulars.

Hope you can make it and I'll see you there.

Hugs Malcolm and Dona

I would like to thank everyone who came along to the meal last night. So many new faces, good to meet you all :-)

I would also like to especially thank Dona who did such a splendid job on running her first meetup (as Patrycja quite rightly points out below) . Well done lass, can't wait for your next event.

To those who didn't go or bother to send apologies, your card is marked! please don't be a repeat offender!

It was great! The time went by so fast - I thought I was there for 30 minutes but in fact it was over 2 hours! Thank you Dona & Malcolm. Dona - I wouldn't guess it was your first hosting.

I did have a go at the RSVP +1 but for some reason it wouldn't click. Wanted to bring my hubby along if that was ok.

It would be nice for newcomers to vegetarian food if the containers of the various foods have the names on them and whether they are suitable for Vegans.

I do a briefing on the night for non vegan options

Hi all - how do these things normally work? It'll be my first event and will be turning up out of the blue... is there an etiquette I need to know about? Cheers!

Hi Shannon. Nice easy one this.
Turn up with cash in your pocket (they don't take cards), Dona will great you and you grab a seat. When we get tired of waiting (ussually about 10 mins after the start time we grab food and eat (Repeat, add-lib till full).
      Drinks are ordered separately.
When we finish, Dona will go round and collect up the money (food fee plus whatever drinks you had, plus perhaps a small gratuity for our patron). We pay and then many go to the pub :-)
Try to rock up on time or even slightly early.

Oh and as I am writing this, a small note to some of the "usual suspects"

Everyone who comes to the event will be paying the standard food fee. No special deals, no chating to the owner, no "I eat here for free", no "I just popped in for a drink"

      Regards Malcolm

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
