Would you like to have a weekend away with your vegetarian and vegan friends?

We can now confirm the itinerary for this exciting weekend. Members of Clare Veg and Galway Vegan Foodies will join us for all or part of this meetup.

Some of us are taking the 5pm train from Heuston on the Friday evening arriving in Ennis at 8.10pm.

We will have dinner in The Mogul Emperor Indian restaurant http://www.menupages.ie/Clare/west_clare/ennis/mogul_emperor_ennis/menu

This will be followed by drinks in a local pub.

We are staying in Rowantree Hostel in Ennis. If you are coming please make your own arrangements to stay in the hostel.

On the Saturday morning we will walk around the town after breakfast.

At 12 noon we will meet in Dromoland Estate for a hike. Please bring a picnic lunch.

At 6pm we will have dinner in Primavera. http://www.primaverarestaurant.ie/Documents/menus_a4%20%282%29.pdf They have an early bird menu. Three courses for €14.90. http://www.primaverarestaurant.ie/Pages/default.aspx

Loved this weekend, it was fun heading over on the train, meeting people from Clare, Galway and Limerick and eating wonderful food in local restaurants. Primavera restaurant was amazing! Rowan Tree Hostel was nice and the hike and picnic were great.

Hi there, I am almost certainly too late to attend this weekend, but I thought I would ask just in case. I'd be able to make my own way there, if it is still possible to attend? Thanks

Hi Grace, thanks very much for your reply. I've decided not to attend this time. Hopefully I might get myself organised a bit better for a future event as I was a bit last minute with this one! Hope all of you have a great weekend, with lots of delicious food!

I'm going to book my train ticket tomorrow. I'm planning to go for the 5pm train from Heuston. Does that suit you if you're travelling from Dublin? I think I will get the 11.45am train back on the Sunday. We are thinking of a hike and dinner on the Saturday. Will confirm details asap. Dromoland has been mentioned.

The organiser of Clare Veg has advised me that Rowan tree hostel is a totally funky place with a fab restaurant. She has also said she has two free beds and a couch in her place if anyone is interested.

Let's wait a couple more days to see if anyone else signs up and then we'll see about making this weekend away a reality! Sorry you can't make it Marti. I'm sure Texas will be good too! ;-)
