Dear Friends,

Our humane society, which operates out of New Orleans and is the primary sponsor of the New Orleans Vegetarian Society, also oversees 12 satellite chapters that provide services in many rural, underdeveloped areas.  Here is a report from our Franklin Chapter, which is located in northern Louisiana.

Franklin Parish humane society stretched thin
Monroe News Star
Mark Couch, president of the Franklin Parish chapter of the Humane Society of Louisiana, said society workers are stretched to the limit. ...

We are also constantly training in new humane investigators and cruelty case managers.  Last night, more than a dozen volunteer investigators and cruelty case managers met to review policies and new training guidelines.  If you are interested in joining us, please contact me at [address removed].  You can also help our efforts by hosting your own fundraiser for us:  a vegan bake sale, dog wash or benefit cocktail party.

Sincerely,

Jeff Dorson
Director
