We will continue our discussion of Bare Attention by reading the first chapter of: Mindfulness in Plain English by Bhante Gunaratana. He eloquently address the question: Meditation:Why Bother? If you have ever wondered about the benefits of meditation practice, this chapter will offer much illumination. Bhante says of his book: "It is our intention to present you with the clearest and most concise directions for Vipassana (Insight) meditation available in the English language."
