Local Businesses Observe "Be Kind to Animals Month"
(New Orleans, LA) - Several local businesses have partnered with the Humane Society of Louisiana to observe "Be Kind to Animals" which runs through the month of May and was first created and celebrated back in 1913 by the American Humane Association. During the month-long observance, several area merchants will be helping the Humane Society to raise funds for and awareness of some of its statewide humane programs. The group's signature partner this year is Benbow Veterinary Services, located at 117 Metairie Lawn, Ste A, Metairie. The clinic will be sponsoring a "round-up" spare change program, by asking their clients to donate to the humane society after each transaction and will host a wine-infused "Yappy Hour" for their customers on May 28th.
The Manhattan Athletic Spa, located at 4162 Manhattan Blvd, in Harvey, is sponsoring a month-long pet food and supply drive. (photo attached).
