The New Orleans Vegetarian Meetup Message Board › The Ohio Dairy Farm Investigation
New Orleans, LA
Concerning the Mercy For Animals -- Ohio Dairy Farm Investigation . If you are not familiar you can find it on YOU Tube or my Facebook page & their is a link to that on my profile . Please watch .
For most people , including myself
adopting a plant based diet is a step down process from meat eating to
vegetarian to Vegan . It is a process , we , most of us are breaking
that we have had for our entire lives . This meet-up group is called the
NOLA Vegetarian Meet-UP Group . I don't want anyone to think that they are
being , I don't know , strong armed by the Vegans . If you are currently
vegetarian I think that I speak for the group when I say that we accept
where you are on your path but please realize that it is a path . If you
are against animal cruelty , and who isn't , and you are consuming dairy
you are participating in on of the most egregious , barbaric sectors of
animal agriculture business their is .
Could you imagine being a woman and being impregnated over and over and
having your baby ripped away form you over and over so that another
can have your milk ?
What happens to the babies?
Some calves are literally left to die from abandonment, dehydration and
starvation. Some are saved to become dairy cows. Some are saved to become
veal only to live in a cage, tied down as to not build muscles. The
and deranged abuse that was inflicted on those cows in the Ohio
investigation was not an isolated incident . They just got caught . This
is what happens when you take a sentient beings and treat them as nothing
more that commodities . This is the True Face of Dairy . Please consider
adopting a completely plant based diet for them , for yourself and for the
planet . Go Vegan .
And , for the Love of God we have ice cream now people . You are depriving
yourselves of nothing .
Thank You ,
Well said! That video hurt my soul. I knew that type of cruelty existed, but I usually only read about it because I need to sleep at night and my imagination easily fills in the blanks with out watching the video. I was so angry at that video all I could think of was to write the governor (I did) and call the news (forced to someones V mail at CNN.) My concern is that man and others like him will just go gain employment on another farm. I doubt he will serve any jail time even. Because the judge will probably go light on him cause it was "just cows" I wish we as a group could afford to put on commercials. I want to reach huge groups of people. Maybe its the networks that won't allow the commercials? Who knows...But his charges read as "12 counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty". That says to me he probably will just get community service. I hate the evils in this world that seem out of our control. Its hard wanting to save and help all animals and not being able to. I know the ones we help matter a great deal. I just want to do so much more.
