This is an exciting night! Not only will we have the author of "Animals and Public Health: Why treating animals better is critical to human welfare" presenting to us all the way down from MD, but we will also have an CHILI potluck in an effort to discover a new chili recipe for RVA's HUGE Chili Cookoff in April.
Please bring a vegan chili dish (bring recipe) or side dish or dessert to share and list of ingredients or recipe, serving utensil and your own place setting and beverage.
Aysha Akhtar, MD, MPH, is a double Board-certified neurologist and public health specialist. She works for the Office of Counterterrorism and Emerging Threats of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is LCDR in the US Public Health Service and is a Fellow of the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics. Do you have a great chili recipe that you think might be a winner? Come to this potluck and let the "experts"(veggies like yourself who love to eat chili!) decide. See you there!
