Vegetarian, but vegan most days. When my mama was cooking me up in the '70s, her OB ordered her to eat an egg daily, and I haven't been able to break the habit.
Longer than most Richmonders have been alive: when I arrived here, the median age was 29.
farmers' markets, cooking classes, (friendly) Iron Chef-like competitions...
I've been a vegetarian for eleventy billion years, or at least long before the proliferation of faux "meats" at the grocery store. I look forward to exploring Richmond's meat-free scene.
The folks I sat near seemed like a great group. The seating arrangement tended to make it too easy for some folks keep to themselves, though. Then again, vegetarians and vegans have lots of other interests in common, and I look forward to meeting the people I didn't get to meet.
