In Columbia - Veg Dinner & Don Robertson Speaking "A Menu of Love: The Vegetarian Lifestyle"
June 9, Saturday 6:30 - 9:00 P.M., Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbia invites you to attend a delicious vegetarian meal! After dinner, Don Robertson of Earthsave Baltimore will speak about the benefits of shifting toward a whole food, plant-based (vegan) diet, and will address some of the most common questions and challenges that arise with regard to healthier eating. Don Robertson is founding director of Earthsave Baltimore, a volunteer operated chapter of Earthsave International, the nonprofit environmental group started in 1989 by author John Robbins. Earthsave educates people about the powerful impact our food choices have on the environment, our health, and all life on earth, and promotes a shift toward a whole food, plant-based diet. Since 1997 Don has hosted a monthly educational vegetarian dinner series for Earthsave. He also hosts two monthly discussion groups, one vegetarian and one vegan, which meet in restaurants and support people in making healthier, earth friendly food choices.
