Vegetarian/Vegan Sunday Brunch at Bliss Grand (Limited to 75)

Sunday Brunch is many people's favorite meal. We are delighted to present a veg*n version of this classic favorite. Join us for brunch at a charming vegetarian/vegan restaurant with delectable food, Bliss Grand - just over the bridge from Manhattan, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

New York Magazine raves about Bliss: "Possibly the most earnest establishment in Williamsburg, Bliss offers simple, well-prepared vegetarian and vegan food... Though unselfconsciously hip itself, it’s a perfect antidote to hipster-saturated Bedford Avenue. With a basic herbivore menu–tofu, hijiki, seitan, beans, greens–the tiny open kitchen here turns out flavorful plates that arrive with thoughtful little touches. The wheat roll that accompanies a bowl of sturdy chili comes jauntily wedged on the rim of the bowl. Vegetables in entrées such as curried tofu and seitan in sweet citrus sauce are just this side of overcooked, but firm, fresh proteins provide good balance. Delicious maple-sweetened desserts are all house-made."

Time Out New York says, "At Bliss, where local art lines the walls amid holes from where previous installations have hung, Billyburg vegetarians can get their daily three to five servings of vegetables in one shot with the popular Bliss Bowl, which comes filled with steamed veggies, sweet potato, tempeh and a choice of dressing (carrot-ginger is a winner). Brunch is a standout with spicy tofu scramble and fresh-fruit dappled French toast."

For those of you who have never attended one of our Meetup events: this is an incredibly friendly & welcoming group. It will be easy to find our group: just ask a member of the waitstaff where the "Meetup" is. Most of the people in the restaurant will be in our large group. Everyone pays for their own meal. Easy!

Unlike some of our other meetup events, that have flexible start times, this event has one seating only, at 12:00 noon.  Please be prompt, and arrive at 12:15 by the latest.

Train Directions: Take the L Train to Bedford Ave. (coming from Manhattan, it is the first stop in Brooklyn). Bliss Grand is at 167 Grand Street on the corner of Grand Street & Bedford Ave. From the Bedford Avenue station, walk down Bedford Ave. seven short blocks to Grand St. It's a nice walk through a fun neighborhood!

Looking forward to joining you for a delicious veg*n Sunday Brunch!

I sat with some very interesting people I had never met before and we spoke about ourselves as well as all things vegan. the foods were creative and delicious and the staff were courteous. The group leaders were gregarious and introduced themselves and others. If I had my druthers I would have opted to eat inside instead of the courtyard which got a lil too cold for my liking but that's on me. That aside, Top marks Vegan Meetup. Bravo. I shall return. Thanks.

David is a superb event host! In the course of one event, I saw David cordially and graciously reel in about ten different indiduals who had arrived alone and smoothly introduce these people to others. Perhaps because of David, the "vibe" of this meetup is extraordinarily warm, open and David.

friendly. That's all there is to it. Vegetarians and vegans happen to be wonderful people. What makes this meetup great and such a pleasure to attend are all the very kind individual members in it.
