Vegetarian/Vegan Thanksgiving Lunch, Part Three - At Soy & Sake (Limited to 20)

Due to the exceptionally high demand and the filling of all the places for Thanksgiving Lunch at VP2 and Red Bamboo, we are adding a THIRD restaurant - Soy and Sake (which is a sister restaurant and a favorite of the group).

It's become a tradition over the past few years to organize a Meetup on Thanksgiving day, for those of us who are in the city without family over the holiday.

For those not familiar with our group -- everyone pays for his or her own meal, plus tax and tip. New York sales tax for restaurants is almost 10%, and most restaurants add on a 20% tip automatically for large groups. So plan on paying about 30% above the menu price of your meal. (In other words, if your meal costs $10, plan to have about $13 handy.)

This meetup event will fill up quickly, and there will be no waiting list. Two other Thanksgiving lunches have been posted at other restaurants -- Red Bamboo and VP2. If you have not yet RSVP'd yet for one of our Thanksgiving Lunch events and would like to do so, we encourage you to try the following: look at all three of our Thanksgiving Lunch event listings. If no spots are available for any of our Thanksgiving Lunch events, keep checking all events, now and in days to come, up to Thanksgiving morning, to see if any spots have become available. People do drop out of our events, and if you catch the event at the right time, you can RSVP. Sorry there are no waiting lists, so please just keep checking back for all listed Thanksgiving events.

Those who have RSVP'd for this Soy & Sake meetup: please arrive promptly at 12:30pm.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, are we honoring/toasting for our Native American friends? -

It is a lovely, lovely thought. But no, this had not been on our agenda. Feel free to make such a toast yourself, I am sure our assembled group would be delighted!
