This Saturday morning, let's meet for an Ameri-vegan version of a full English (spicy scramble with cremini shrooms, cajun-roasted potatoes, fried tomato, baked beans, hot tea, seitan sausage and sourdough toast) before heading inside for the fashion shows, food demo and admittedly pithy speakers more than likely preaching to an ample choir. This is potluckish, so you needn't feel compelled to bring anything, but can if-it-you-pleases.
The World Vegetarian Festival is at the County Fair Building (yes, we have one,) on September 29th and 30th. Oddly-enough, the 30th overlaps with the leather-daddy Folsom Street Fair on the other side of town, the "grand daddy of all leather events" that fills vegetarians with sadness, anger, and, yes, bi-curiousity, but we've got the better location: We'll meet right inside the Botanical Gardens, toward the front of that Great Meadow,
(the SouthEast-most side on this map:

The SFBC provides valet bike parking at this event, and is right off some MUNI, carparking and the N-Judah.

(Incidentally, it's also the birthday of Caravaggio, Fermi, and Antonioni. A good day for Italy!)
