CEO of Whole Foods, vegan John Mackey talk

this is a once in a lifetime event
I'll be there!  I got my ticket.  wanna join us?
let's go early to get a good seat.

Lauren O. from South Bay was the person that was able to get John Mackey to become a vegan.

yes, Whole Foods is not perfect and has its faults but I think it's way better than other supermarkets like SAfeway, food max, etc..

- CEO & Co-Founder, Whole Foods Market
- Author of Conscious Capitalism: A Whole-istic Approach to Capitalism

John Mackey, iconic CEO and co-founder, is known for his all-natural approach to a mega chain of grocery stores, Whole Foods. His stores are, in part, credited with a boom in the healthy food movement where terms like “hormone free” are commonplace.

He’s also taken the formula for conscious capitalism and corporate social responsibility to a whole new level and other businesses are following suit. Mackey discusses the transformative business movement where value rests on something more than just finances. Find out more about the Whole Foods story from the man himself.

i was wearing a black sweat jacket sitting in front. sorry i didn't bring my red jacket and cell phone. who else was there. Thanks DAvid for offerring your free ticket.... it was almost full house. Whole foods had food sampling and free gift bag for everyone. Whole Foods or any corporation is not perfect and that's exactly what John Mackay said

Are people aware of how fiendishly anti-union (and fare wage) this guy is? And they don't call it "Whole Paycheck" for no reason! Safeway is unionized!

what a truly despicable corporation this man runs. Why would anyone shop at whole foods instead of a locally run place with far better prices?

    January 5, 2013

    • Ellen

Location. Yes, locally run is better, but sometimes not available. It's all a matter of degrees. WF is better than some, worse than others.
