I would like to thank everyone, (and especially Richa and those of us who were enthralled in conversation until 2 AM), for creating a surprisingly memorable evening considering I had never met many or most of you before. In
the continued spirit of good conversation, tea, and being outside (TM), I would
like to invite all y'all to a little gathering I am christening 'Tea in
the Park,' hopefully the first of many. It will be held on the lawn in
front of The Conservatory of Flowers, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco,
Sunday, Jan. 18, 1-4 PM. Closest cross street is Stanyan and Fell/Oak, but please note
this section of the park is closed to vehicles on Sundays until 6 PM. I
will bring the tea and cups, you bring you and anyone else you desire.
In the aim of combating social isolation during this era of frenetic
and often alienating modern life, this event will be open to anyone who
happens to walk by, so I'll probably have some kind of sign indicating
this, which is also a good way to spot me.
So, that's it. Just tea & meeting old and new friends in the
park. Nothing special. It's not necessary to RSVP or make any
special effort to come. If you come, I will be there, and if you
don't, I will still be there.
