The Tucson Vegan & Vegetarian Monthly Meetup

On the FIRST Wednesday of every month, we meet for dinner and conversation at Lovin' Spoonfuls, Tucson's first ALL-VEGAN restaurant, on North Campbell in the annex to the Albertson's shopping center.

Lovin' Spoonfuls is fast-casual (order at the counter, seat yourself). We don't limit the number who can RSVP, so feel free to invite your family and friends. There's a number of tables along the wall to your left as you walk in, reserved for seating on a first-come basis. If these tables fill up then if possible we may connect additional tables or you can find seating at another table until space opens up, and people are encouraged to mingle.

Plan to arrive anytime between 6:30 and 7pm -- better if we don't all arrive at once and overwhelm the staff. Come hungry, plan to have a leisurely meal, and leave room for dessert or just snack on appetizers. Have you tried their shakes yet? Yum!!

Hope to see you there!

please don't mess around with your blood sugar and electrolytes! have you read "Blue Desert" by the esteemed Charles Bowden? it's life and death, eat plants only if you feel the need to cleanse, don't have an empty stomach puhleeez!

what i meant was that i'm not as strong and disciplined as Jaime and that i need to strive to improve my resolve. yes, i gave the oily morsels to the neighbors, but that doesn't mean that i'm starving, by any means. i actually think i eat too much! but thanks for the concern, Kathie, and the book does sound intriguing.

I enjoyed the music too. What a nice surprise. The Mediterranean gluten free plate was delicious. The pita bread amazing. It's hard to find good gluten free bread products. Wine and company divine.

that music was intoxicating! or was it the five IPAs... everything got blurry there for a while. maybe too much vulcanized soy isolate... so, yesterday was Wednesday? really??

The food was perfect! I had steamed Chinese veggies/brown rice along with Peggy's FAB Spiced Herbal Iced Tea. The Music created an ambiance that invited guests to forget that it was only mid-week and even ordering an alcoholic beverage or two....or three! Can't wait for the next one! ;)

Aside from meeting some nice Vegan folks, Lovin Spoonful should ditch the guitar player. I found it hard to hear above the music.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
