Dear Members of the Ann Arbor Vegan Meetup Group,
It is my sad duty to inform you that our Organizer, Tim Morris, has died.  Tim has been an active member of this group since May 2009 and a leader with VegMichigan.  We will truly miss him at our events and our thoughts go out to Peggy and his family.

Timothy D. Morris, age 65, a resident of Brighton and formerly Flint, died on July 30th, 2013 at University of Michigan hospital.

Tim worked for over 20 years as the ITS manager for the U of M Family Medicine, was a longtime member of the Marine Corps League in Howell, Treasurer of the Michigan Association of Woodturners and Vice President of VegMichigan.

In addition to Margaret “Peggy” Morris, his beloved wife of over 30 years, Tim is survived by children, Theresa Krueger, Dan (Terri), Dodd (Tami), Glenn Alexander, Michelle (Steve) Hinkle; grandchildren, Matt, Blake, Joe, Derek, Nate, Brady Jr., Terry, Zach, Evan, Anna, Gabe, Aaron and Isabel; his mother, Sarah Postema Morris; siblings, Don (Nancy), Lin (d.Tom) Weaver, Jan (Don) Chapman and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd and brother, Gordy.

Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home[/url], 600 E. Main St, Brighton on Thursday, August 1st from 4-8 PM.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Patrick Parish[/url], 711 Rickett Rd., Brighton on Friday, August 2nd at 10:30 AM with a luncheon following. The Rev. Fr. Karl L. Pung to officiate. Burial and honors to take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly on Friday at 2:30 PM.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Tim's name to The McDougall Research and Education Foundation,
VegMichigan, promoting awareness of the health, environmental and ethical benefits of a plant-based lifestyle or Toys for Tots in Howell.

Scott, I am so sorry to hear that Timothy Morris has died. I did not have the opportunity to meet him at a meet-up, but he sounds like a wonderful man. His family and friends are in my prayers, wishing them comfort and special memories.

I met Tim at VegFest, he was a really nice man. May he rest in peace. His family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
