Friday night music at Tom's Tabooley

Hey everyone, since this is so last-minute I'm not scheduling this as a meetup, but I wanted to let everyone know there's a great band playing on the Drag tonight (Friday July 30). The synergistically-named** Tombstone Bullies, a cool roots rock/blues band, will be playing at Tom's Tabooley starting at 7:30.

The Tombstone Bullies have played at the Vegetarian Chili Cookoff in previous years, and we're hoping they can play at this year's cookoff in November. They play both originals and blues classics. If you like good, traditional old-style rock and blues with slide guitar, these guys are for you.

If we get a number of vegetarians in attendance before their set begins, like say 6:30 to 7-ish, I'm hoping I can arrange a special town hall-style discussion between all of us and another very active member of the local vegetarian community, hopefully to record for our podcast. So if you're interested in talking about Austin's vegetarians, what we're doing and what we can do together in the future, we'd love to have you participate.

And just as a last reminder, next Tuesday night at 7:30 we're having an actual meetup at Bouldin Creek Cafe, as a special "Introduction to the VNA" gathering for our Meetup members who would like to know more about our group.

**Just so you don't get confused, it's Tombstone Bullies at Tom's Tabooley- not Tombsta Bullies at Tom's Stone Booley, not Tom's Tone Bullies at Tomb Stabooley, and certainly not Tombstone Booley at Tom's Tabullies.
