Hey everybody, this Sunday is the 23rd annual Lone Star Vegetarian Chili Cook-Off! Most of you already know about it (starts at 11:30am, only eight bucks, over twenty teams competing from all over Texas, ALL vegan chili, live music and prizes)... so I'll get to the point: we still NEED volunteers! Anyone who can come to Old Settlers Park in Round Rock for the event, please email me at [address removed] to sign up for a shift- you'll get a free chili tasting-wristband!

Also, in case some of you haven't heard and are looking for something to do tonight, there is a special kick-off party for the cook-off at 6:30 at Counter Culture, where we'll be signing up volunteers! Specials include a buffalo seitan sandwich, indian cole slaw and raw pumpkin pie. With live music by Amy Zamarripa. Come join us and help out the Chili Cook-off! Here's the event page on Facebook: http://www.facebo...

Anyone who can come to Old Settlers Park at the start of the day, like 8am, and help us setup tents/tables/chairs would be HUGELY appreciated. Or people who can be greeters, or assist vendors, or if you're coming later but staying to the end, you can help us breakdown and cleanup. If there's any way you can assist, email me at [address removed].
