The Humane Society has secured Wednesday, March 30, 2011 for next year’s event. I hope you will be able to participate and speak out for the animals!
Last year, the nearly two hundred 2010 New York State Humane Lobby Day participants helped secure over fifty new legislators as sponsors for bills to combat animal fighting, puppy mills, canned shooting of captive exotic wildlife, and cruel treatment of farm animals. 2011 marks the start of the new[masked] legislative session, and with many new legislators and leadership changes due to the recent election, it’s more important than ever that your legislators’ offices hear directly from you on the need for stronger protections for animals.
The record was set in 2010 for the biggest ever lobby day for animals in New York State. Please help break that record in 2011 and show our elected officials that animals matter!
Details will be forthcoming from the Humane Society in early 2011. Mark your calendars.
