Plant Eaters Anonymous

We'll kick off a new series of discussions about a plant based diet with a focus on the things you need to do to be a healthy and well fed plant eater over the long term. If you have a favorite book that guides what you eat, we'd love to have you bring it along and tell us about it.

All are welcome and we especially want to invite folks who are new or just considering a plant based diet.

We'll be upstairs at Cat Depot, you'll need to enter from the back. If you'd like a tour of Cat Depot, please call ahead and arrive early.

I really enjoyed meeting everyone and thank you Don for making me feel welcome and answering my questions. I especially want to thank Laura for sharing her helpful information about Hypothyroidism. It was a big help. Also thanks for the terrific goodies that were passed out. :-)

Great to get to hear everyone's stories. Lot of good exchange and interaction. Thanks, Don, for being such an effective coordinator!

Thanks for coming everyone. This video about B12 begins the series of videos I wanted to show today. I encourage anyone who does not currently take a B12 supplement to watch it.

And if you are curious, you will find much more at this link.

Yeah, they have regular sugar in their ice creams too, which may well be bleached with the bones of animals.

I LOVE SubZero Icecream! The only place around (that I know of) with vegan options. However, at my last visit I ordered the usual "non dairy" and they told me it was actually lactose free but still contained dairy! I have eaten this at least 3x since they opened. My first visit I spoke with the manager (?) about all the vegan options so this really bummed me out. Anyway, still love them but now know to order the "soy, almond, or rice"!
