Free  Lunch & cooking demo, with local chef, "the Veg Coach",  Ellen Jaffe Jones. Thanks to The Fresh Market for donating food for this event! Ellen is the author of "Eat Vegan on $4 a Day," "Kitchen Divided," and her new release, "Paleo Vegan."

Join Ellen for a free lunch and cooking demo featuring burritos & tacos!

Class topic: Simple & Sumptuous -- Burritos & Tacos

While the class is free, you must RSVP to the organizer to receive your number to attend. We need to know how many will attend to provide enough space/chairs. Space is limited and we already have a few who have RSVPd through over venues. Thanks!

Ellen is a certified personal trainer (AFAA), running coach (RRCA) and an accomplished endurance runner (67 5K race age group awards, 7th in US W[masked] meters) and was a trained cooking instructor for Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine pre-books. She travels nationally/internationally on book tour for her publisher.

    Thank you SO much to everyone who attended…all 19 of you! I know we had some challenges with Anna Maria Island traffic, but I hope you enjoyed it. We'll have two more classes next Monday and the following Monday so that a local radio station (AMI-1700 am) can record some audio. I'll post a separate meet-up invite soon. Start time is 11 a.m. :) And thanks also to the couple who drove all the way up from Nokomis! And the folks from the Annie Malone

    Just got back from Fresh Market and have a ton of food. If you haven't RSVPd and are on the fence, we'd love to have you, even if you decide last minute. We'll be making monster burritos, tacos and fillings that will please even the non-burrito fans. Hopefully. ;) I also picked up some incredible fair trade chocolate made by the company Theo. It's an amazing vegan-friendly chocolate factory I got to tour before I did food demos this past weekend at Seattle's VegFest. I was so excited to see that Fresh Market carried it, I had to get you some for a little dessert.

      Hi Barb…thanks for reconnecting and your interest. As long as I have a rough number, I'm good. I've been doing this enough years so that I know to get ingredients that will help "stretch" servings if more people than I estimate show up. If you can let me know, great. But if not, just come and we'll have enough food. Hope it works out. Thanks!
