This was my second Veg meetup. What I loved about both was the experience of inclusion. In the past I have been to many events where I felt like an outsider. I'd show up I'd stand or sit around and feel ignored. Not so here. I was included in the conversation around me. People seemed genuinely interested. I have been hard of hearing since I was 6 years old. Often I try to hear but eventually just smile and pretend I heard what was said. I now have hearing aids and they help a lot some of the time but other times they just magnify all ambient sounds and makes it worse. Please excuse me when I ask you to repeat something 3 times. Overall this even was a very pleasant experience. One other struggle I have is that I don't remember names. Don't be afraid to keep telling me your name and I'll try not to feel embarrassed when I have to keep asking or I just forget. I look forward to many more.

Crazy question but are dogs allowed?

Yea that's a bit high maintenance to have your whole evening rue ones by the presence of a dog--... Wow

I don't think it's extreme at all. As far as I know it is illegal to bring dogs into restaurants or grocery stores, except for assistance dogs. I know it would ruin my meal. I suppose outside on a patio might almost be acceptable but even that is a stretch.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
