Best Japanese sushi restaurant, lots of gluten free and veggie options and generous portions...is in Deep Cove, on North Side.

This was not the best meet up I've been to and, overall, I was not very impressed and didn't think it was worth the $18. The food was decent tasting; there just wasn't enough of it. Temperature was an issue; the gyoza and yakiudon were lukewarm and the tempura was COLD. There was some confusion with the staff about our table of 4; they kept bringing us food for 3 and were slow to bring us more. Even when more food was brought, there was barely enough for 4 people. My impression was that staff/kitchen just didn't organize themselves well to accommodate the number of attendees. Food came out sporadically and disorganized; some tables would receive several plates of food and then others would be left waiting for quite some time to receive theirs. I've been to other meetups that far exceeded my expectations; sadly, this was not one of them. I still love the concept of the meetups and will definitely try more but I don't think I would return to this restaurant.

over all not worth the drive from abbotsford to enjoy the so-called better quality japanese restaurants you would assume to be in the downtown core. i would have liked to see served on the menu tonight gomae salad instead of green salad, miso soup instead of the yakiudon.

Pretty good food. I liked gyoza the best! Great veg mates! Thanks for coming. :) They gave us a welcome salad which wasn't included. I think this was their first time to host an event like this...

Do they offer brown rice sushi?

I thought tempura is usually made with egg. Are they making a special vegan version?

Some with egg, some without. Yes, our set menu is vegan. Looking forward to seeing you there, Maria! :)
