I have been interested in veganism for a long time but had recurring anemia on a vegetarian (never mind vegan) diet- iron shots helped me but when I got a new doc, she refused to give me shots and told me to eat meat, that was my option (the pills don't help). I am trying to get my whole body healthy and am now longer accepting what allopaths say as the be all and end all of good medical advice and looking into more natural ways to heal my body. I don't want to eat animals and it always bothered me and I tried not to think about it... I realize that the act of eating animals causes me stress and further made me fatigued, etc.... so recently (the last 2 and a half weeks as of June 6, 2012) I gave up smoking, drinking, etc... and became focused to listening to what I really want to be doing, which includes not eating animals. So short answer is I have been vegetarian in the past for months on end, but have only recently returned to a veg lifestyle.
Would like to meet people interested in animal rights who are positive people who respect other creatures and also respect the human body and our environment.
I have never gone to a vegetarian restaurant. :) I am excited to try though. :)
Nice to be here. Am new to vegetarianism and trying to go vegan. Interested in holistic and natural healing and looking to become physically healthy and spiritually more in touch with what is important.
