Just in time for the awakening of Spring Season: a ride to two of Washington's natural and hidden gems: the Kennilworth Aquatic Garden and the National Arboretum. The Kennilworth Aquatic Garden, located in the far eastern section of the city features the largest collection of water lilies and marshlands. While the peak season is actually in August, there should be plenty of blooming action to please the visual senses. The second leg of the tour proceeds to the National Arboretum which features many individual botanical exhibitions such as the Azalea Garden, Bonsai Collections Capitol Columns and more. If the green stuff doesn't excite you, the nearly empty roads of the park should provide enough of a joyride to make the early wake up time worth it. More information can be viewed at the links below.
