Purcellville has a special place for local avid cyclists. 1) It's the end destination of the WOD Trail, 2) beyond the trail exists some of the best roads that Northern Virginia offer and 3) features prominently in the area's Reston Century. While as a group, we've had many fun rides to Purcellville via the WOD Trail, it was time plan something different. Presenting ...(drum roll please) the 'Purcellville Figure Eight'. The prominent focus of this ride will be two scenic loops that will showcase the region that is called Purcellville. The ride will start and finish from downtown Purcellville so carpooling will be a neccesary. Each loop(a north and south) is approximately 35 miles long each provides picturesque farmlands, furry creature sightings and some serious training for the forthcoming century season. Not interested in doing the full 66 miles? Then tackle only one of the loops, your choice: hard or not so hard.
