Seeking a 'kind of' challenging morning ride with breakfast on the side?  Then consider joining us for this city ride which utilizes two of the region's most scenic roads: Beach Drive and Sligo Creek Parkway.  The ride starts from the historical Eastern Market neighborhood and travel through such sights as Howard University, the National Capitol, Catholic University and more.  If metropolitan man-made structures don't do anything for you then how about the very natural Rock Creek Park?  Finally, we'll enjoy breakfast at one of the local neighborhood establishments so don't forget to bring some money and an appetite.

Est Distance: 40 miles Terrain: Rolling to hilly
Pace: Med(15 - 17 mph)
Highlights: Beach Drive, Sligo Creek Parkway, the Metropolitan Branch Trail and possible furry creature sightings

- All rides are 'No Drop', for nobody will be left behind.
- Helmets , ID, spare tube, bike lock/cable will be required .
- Snacks and liquids can be purchased.
- The event will be canceled/postponed if it rains.
- Email me if you have any questions

Doh! Just realized I'm double-booked and already signed up for another ride so I'm freeing up my spot for someone else. Have fun!

Just a few notes. 1)The ride will be departing no later than 8:05am. That means arrive early and be prepared to ride at 7:55am. The best options would be to ride or drive to Eastern Market. Limited parking is available in the area so factor that into your schedule too. 2) Space is very limited this time around so if you can't make it: please don't take up a spot of somebody who can participate. Especially so concerning guest(s). 3) This will be a cue sheet ride, and every effort will be made to post a GPS route but without fail, every edition of this event to-date involved impromptu detours because of unforeseen construction, events etc. Which is another factor for maintaining the small group number.

And no worries, after Saturday's climb, don't think I'll be spearheading the peleton ;). Will be sightseeing. Not to mention would not want to miss Regina's awesomeness :).
