Is it true that second time is charm?  Well find out when the forces of Bike Me DC and VeloDCity team up again for the Autumn edition of the Bike Ride from Grace Willow Farm.  We'll ride the same scenic roads of Northern Virginia with an additional route to accommodate all abilities: (54 miles, 26 miles and 24 miles or hardest, harder, so-so).  In combination with certain furry creature sightings, food and friends, a good time should be had by all.  Finally, please bring $5 and something(dish, dessert, beverage, etc) to share with everybody.  Any questions, please contact the hostess with the most and truly wonderful Sarah Wentworth.

Ride Option A
Distance: 54.3 mi
Climb Elv: 3702 ft
Max Grade: 10.8
Difficulty: 4
Route map: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3251292
Comments: This route includes the infamous Taylorstown, Stumptown and Hillsboro.  Roads and is best suited for a raod bike.

Ride Option B
Distance: 26.4 mi
Climb Elv: 2191 ft
Max Grade: 10.8
Difficulty: 3
Route map: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3251317
Comments: This is a shorter version of Ride B with less climbing.  Road bike is still the best choice.

Ride Option C
Distance: 24.6 mi
Climb Elv: 1498 ft
Max Grade: 6.1 %
Difficulty: 2
Route map: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3333632
Comments: This is a fun ride that is ideal for those with hybrids, cyclocross, or mountain bikes.  The route stays east of US 15, is much flatter, and goes by several wineries, which is why I expect those choosing this route to be the last ones to finish!  Some roads are paved but many have long stretches of gravel, so ROAD BIKES are NOT recommended.

Highlights: A scenic 185-year old country house, Farmlands, Furry Creatures, Food and some vertical climbing challenges

- HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION.
- All rides are 'No Drop', for nobody will be left behind.
- ID, spare tube, bike lock/cable is highly recommended.
- Snacks and liquids can be purchased.
- The event will be cancelled/postponed if it rains.
- Email me or Sarah Wentworth if you have any questions

Great route; quite challenging, but with enough gorgeous scenery to dull the pain.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
