Well, you delivered on those nasty hills Gregg, but I didn't cry or even whimper this time. Great ride, lots of fun. Hope that Buttercup is back in fighting shape after her visit to the emergency bike ER.

Not crazy about doing a group ride on city streets but the climbs, especially Morris St, are unrivalled in the city.

Thanks. Glad you liked the climbs. This was one of the hardest rides to plan in terms of distance, which climbs to include, difficulty, etc. It's convenient when you need something without the long driving distance. Thanks again for joining us and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Many thanks to everybody who attended the inaugural Heights of Borderlands Tour. Your participation and company were greatly appreciated. I would like to especially thank everyone who assisted me with a broken chain. Karen and Wayne for the curbside attempts to jerry-rigg my bike. Brent, Jim and Tasha for patiently waiting. Darren for the ride to back to Eastern Market. Thank you all and look forward to riding with you again soon(with the appropriate chain link next time).

Sorry to hear about the chain. We had no clue what had happened.

No problem. It happens and it's something that could be added to the cycling resume.

Great ride! Saw parts of the city that I don't frequent that offered some amazing views of the city. Great job Gregg!

I was looking forward to this one but my bike is out of commission. I went to the shop to replace my drive-train in time for this ride but found out that I have to replace my crank set and bottom bracket. Thanks and will see you next ride.

This is a ride I really want to do as we don't ride much in Anacostia. But because I need to train on big hills in preparation for the Mt. Washington Auto Road Race, I am going to do Matt's re-scheduled ride which has lots of climbing.

    Looking forward to some hills!

Morning everyone. Hope everyone had a great weekend of riding. This is going to be my first ride with the group so please take it easy on me. Where should we park for the meet up? Also I'm looking for a group to ride during the week. I live in the Kingstown area in Alexandria. Thanks.

Morning and Welcome Al. The Heights Ride will include many short climbs(< 1mile) and depending on your current condition: "easy" to "okay ... very challenging". Concerning weekday rides, you may want to check out our friends at the Nova CBG group, http://www.meetup.com...

Sorry for the last minute event adjustment. The ride has been moved to Sunday due to a change in my Sat work schedule. Hope to see you soon.

I'll be riding the Cap to Cap Century (Williamsburg to Richmond loop) that day. Otherwise, I would totally be there! I've lived East of the River for 13 years and would LOVE to do this ride with others in the future.

Hmmm, I'm planning on the Richmond to Williamsburg since we have to get our son out of his VCU dorm on Saturday.

I'm also doing the Cap2Cap starting in Richmond with the 20-30 Cyclists group.
