Been in the DC area for over five years and am always looking for new riding partners. I am a bike commuter who also enjoys longer rides on weekends and holidays. I prefer rides where I don't have to drive to the start.
Since grade school.
Depends on the circumstances. I can hold my own at 16 to 17 mph for fairly long rides.
Just trying to ride every day. Will try the Total200 this year as my longest ride ever.

Plenty of people at Ski Fair can give you their views on where best to purchase replacement skis. If your equipment is that old, you may need to purchase new boots and bindings as well since the technology has changed. I switched from 3 pin to SNS bindings over 5 years ago and haven't regretted it a minute.
Chris--
If you are really into cross-country skiing, you need to expand your horizons. I'm into skiing in the D.C. area as well on the rare occasions when skiable snow falls, but you can wait years for that to occur. I need several snow fixes each winter, which is why I lead trips to snowy places.
Hope you are able to make the Ski Fair event on November 3rd. It hits at cross-country skiing from so many angles, and you get to meet a good percentage of the folks who go on the trips.

Your ears must have been burning the whole time I was riding from Miami to Key West as I was telling my new riding partners all about you and the training rides we did .... thanks for all the words of encouragement along the way :D

Chris,
Thank you very much for your information. I will check the website you gave to me to see what I can do about it. A lot of 100 miles riders got the tickets at the same and only spot.
